The Réserve Mouton Cadet Saint-Émilion 2020 presents itself as an outstanding representative of Bordeaux wines, embodying the essence of the renowned Saint-Émilion region. With an impressive grape variety mix of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, this red wine shows a harmonious balance, which delights both connoisseurs and occasional connoisseurs.
The grapes for this vintage come from carefully selected locations within the appellation, where the terroir of clayey-calcareous and sandy, siliceous soils allows for optimal ripening. The high Merlot content of around 88% ensures a velvety texture and fruity aromas that shape the character of the wine. The remaining 12% is made up of Cabernet Franc (10%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (2%), with the Cabernet Franc giving the cuvée a subtle finesse and elegance. The small proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon brings additional structure and longevity in the taste profile.
In the glass, the Réserve Mouton Cadet Saint-Émilion 2020 reveals a bright, garnet-red color, which already indicates the intensity of the wine. The bouquet captivates with an elegant aroma of red fruits, especially cherries and red currants, which are accompanied by a hint of mocha and aromatic blackberries.
