Midleton Barry Crockett Legacy 2022
This pinnacle of the single pot still range, Midleton Barry Crockett Legacy marked the first time since John Jameson that an Irish Distillers product had been named after a Master Distiller. Unique to Ireland in general and Midleton Distillery, Co. Cork in particular, Single Pot Still Whiskey is considered the quintessential Irish whiskey style. Crafted from a mash of malted and unmalted barley and then triple distilled in traditional copper pot stills, pot still whiskeys are characterized by full, complex flavors and a wonderfully creamy mouthfeel.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Elegant aroma of vanilla and toasted oak complemented by hints of lime, juicy green berries, pears and green peppers.
Palate: Light pepper gives way to the sweetness of fresh citrus, lime and tangerine. Hints of cinnamon with vanilla and oak reveal its years in American oak.
Finish: The full spectrum of flavors lingers well into the finish, slowly fading to reveal the clean American oak base.
