Maker's Mark Private Select for Kirsch
They combined ten samples of these "Staves" to create a bottling that will never be seen again: one Baked American Pure 2, three each of Seared French Cuvée and Maker's 46 Staves, as well as two Roasted French Mendiant and one Toasted French Spice. With sticks suspended in the barrel, the individual whiskey matured for 9 weeks at 13°C in a cave at Maker's Mark and tastes wonderfully of caramel, cherry lollipops, vanilla and fine spice, as desired.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Soft and spicy with lots of caramel and coffee toffee. In addition, slight hints of cherry lollipops.
Palate: Full-bodied and spicy-sweet, it settles on the tongue with notes of liquorice and vanilla.
Finish: Beautifully long and spicy with caramel candies and cherry lollipops.
