Macallan 12 Years Sherry Oak
The Macallan 12 Years Sherry Oak Single Malt Whiskey is a remarkable wine that is second to none. On the nose it develops a bouquet of dried fruits, accompanied by oak spices and nutmeg. The taste is soft and warm, with a long and amazingly gingery finish. Once in your mouth, you will be treated to aromas of dark chocolate, raisins and ripe apples.
The secret of Macallan 12 Years Sherry Oak lies in the maturation time that it spends in European oak barrels that were previously used for sherry production in Jerez de la Frontera. This gives the whiskey the typical sherry-soaked notes that combine perfectly with the sweetness of the grain.
Tasting notes
Nose: Complex with hints of vanilla, dried fruits and ginger.
Palate: Soft, medium balanced with fruit, oak and spices.
Finish: Long with sweet dried fruits, oak and spices.
