The Louis Roederer Collection 245 Champagne is an outstanding example of the artistry and craftsmanship of one of the most prestigious champagne houses in the world. This exquisite cuvée represents the 245th wine composition since the house was founded and is the result of a careful assemblage process that combines the best characteristics of several vintages.
The composition of Collection 245 shows a harmonious mix of 41% Chardonnay, 33% Pinot Noir and 26% Pinot Meunier. These grapes come from a variety of vintages, with over half of the wines used being from 2020. In addition, reserve Wines from 2013 to 2019 were included in the composition, some of which were aged in large wooden barrels. This complex approach ensures remarkable depth and variety in the flavor profile.
A beguiling bouquet of ripe fruit aromas unfolds on the nose, reminiscent of peach, baked apple and bergamot. These fruity notes are complemented by subtle floral accents of jasmine blossoms, while aromas of butter crumble, biscuit and dark bread crust unfold in the background. This multi-layered aroma experience makes the first impression of Collection 245 is particularly inviting and multi-layered.
On the palate, this champagne presents itself with remarkable finesse and elegance. The high proportion of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier gives the cuvée a powerful structure and a full-bodied character. The ripe fruit aromas are perfectly balanced by an animating juiciness and a fine, almost creamy perlage The long aftertaste of the wine impresses and leaves a fresh, citrus-nutty finish that invites you to enjoy the next sip.
