Laphroaig 10 year batch 13
It has all the unadulterated depth, flavor and texture associated with tasting whiskey at source. Laphroaig whiskey is matured in seasoned oak casks which are charred prior to bottling to impart a slightly sweet vanilla nuttiness.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Sweet cereal with biscuit notes, fresh oak, smoked cedar and manuka honey. Amsterdam pipe tobacco, shoe polish and aged leather combined with hints of waxy church candle, vanilla cream, nutmeg and oak extracts.
Palate: Sweet and tangy, with burned oak staves, grilled marshmallows, toffee and sea salt, vanilla and Belgian caramel waffles. Roasted coffee fudge cream on gooey toffee pudding, with hints of white pepper and crushed cinnamon.
Finish : Floral with spicy tannins from oak, iodine and sea salt.
