Langatun Cigar Malt 2017 Batch #585/07/2022
Two wonderfully aromatic barrels were married especially for this bottling. On the one hand a Chardonnay white wine barrel and on the other a Sherry Fino barrel. Together the two result in a wonderfully harmonious single malt whiskey which, with 45.6%, brings enough strength and aroma to counter medium-strong to strong cigars and remains in the mouthfeel Langatun typically very pleasantly soft, so as not to completely steal the show from a lighter cigar.
But even without a cigar, this noble drop is an experience that should not be missed.
Tasting Notes
Nose: dried fruit, fine sweetness, balanced notes of sherry.
Palate: nicely round, polished wood.
Aftertaste: warming, medium-long, so perfectly complements a cigar.
