Lagavulin 30 Years Casks of Distinction
Behind the bottling are the Hong Kong Whiskey Fellows, known for their Brora 42 year old, and the House Welley Whiskey Bar from Hong Kong, whose founder already bottled a Lagavulin from 1995. Also, Boris Borissov and Sebastian Jäger, founding members of the Wu Dram Clan, who have been with their European Lagavulin fans for 21 years. released the first CoD ever in Europe and have a very close bond with Diageo. And: Christoph Kirsch, like the Lagavulin, also a 1991 vintage, for whom a great dream has come true with this bottling.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Dark fruit with the wonderfully subtle smoky notes that Lagavulin develops as it ages.
Palate: Fresh fruit, lots of berries and a little bit of bacon, which goes straight into a mineral cellar note. The whiskey unfolds, becomes creamy, powerful, sweet, smoky and layered.
Finish: Very long and with a powerful presence.
