Lagavulin 16 Year Old is undoubtedly one of the richest and most aromatic whiskeys from the Scottish Isles. Its intense peat notes paired with sweet and salty flavors make it a perfect gift for any quality whiskey lover.
Interestingly, this dry Scotch whiskey has a long history of being produced using peat from Castlehill bog. Produced in Lagavulin Bay since 1816, this single malt is aged in oak casks for 16 years to develop its characteristically strong and boisterous island character.
Indeed, the Lagavulin 16 year old fills the palate with a dry peat smoke and gentle, powerful sweetness. Its long, elegant finish is marked by intense notes of peat, salt and seaweed, reflecting the robust flair of the island.
