Panamanian rum has become a global player in the rum market, appealing to both novices and experienced connoisseurs. While the taste and production methods are heavily influenced by Cuban immigrants, Panamanian rums are often characterized by a fuller body. The La Maison Du Rhum Panama 2010/2021 is an excellent example of the quality of these rums.
This fine rum was distilled in 2010 using a column still. It then matured for 10 years and 6 months in American white oak barrels. For a six-month finish, it was transferred to ex-Oloroso sherry casks. Finally, 4493 bottles were filled at an alcohol content of 48% ABV.
