The Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 9 is an original bottling from the Glengyle distillery in Scotland. This single malt whiskey was bottled in 2023 and has an alcohol content of 59.2%. In the cask type, 90% bourbon and 10% sherry casks were used.
This smoky whiskey is characterized by its notes of freshly baked shortbread, vanilla cream, banana cake and coconut flakes. Its creaminess and vanilla presence is also noticeable on the palate, expressed in the form of buttery digestive cookies and vanilla cream. The peaty taste is prominent in the finish and is rounded off with hints of gooseberries.
