The barley for this edition comes from the 2013 and 2014 harvests and is grown on the distillery's own fields. Every step of production is carried out on site on Islay, from the barley harvest to distillation and maturation in selected bourbon and oloroso sherry casks The careful selection of the barrels ensures a harmonious balance between the aromas of the wood and the natural character of the whisky .
On the nose, the Kilchoman 100% Islay Limited Edition.14 presents itself with notes of sweet vanilla, butterscotch and ripe fruit. On the palate, there is a subtle citrus note that harmonizes perfectly with the floral peat smoke of the 100% Islay malt. The finish is long and full-bodied, leaving behind hints of spices and oak.
