Dewar's 12 Year Old Double Aged
Dewar's 12 Year Old is a Blended Scotch Whisky, for which thirty selected malt and grain whiskies are combined. After maturing for at least twelve years, the blend undergoes Dewar's typical two-stage maturation process and receives a finish in first-fill bourbon casks. This additional cask aging unites the individual components and emphasizes the smooth, balanced character of the bottling.
The aroma reveals vanilla, citrus fruits, and fresh fruit. On the palate, butterscotch, cereal notes, and a gentle spiciness follow. The finish combines light smoky notes with oak and a pleasant honey sweetness. The twelve-year-old Blended Scotch is bottled at 40% vol.
