Experience the essence of Jamaica with the Transcontinental Rum Line. Discover the diversity of rum with Transcontinental Rum Line (TCRL) from La Maison & Velier. Selected rums from overseas are first stored in their home country in oak barrels at tropical temperatures to achieve rapid, intense maturation and strong aromas. After being shipped to the French bottler, some rums continue to mature in a continental climate, which gives them complexity. All rums in this line are bottled without additives and are not chill-filtered. Among TCRL's regular product range, single casks stand out as exceptional bottlings. The Jamaica HD 2012/2024 is one of the exclusive single casks specially selected for Kirsch customers. Limited to just 223 bottles, this homage to a renowned distillery shows a powerful and unique expression. This pure single rum was distilled in 2012 from fermented molasses in double retort pot stills. It was matured for three years under tropical conditions in Jamaica's Trelawny region in Bourbon Cask #HD12BT05, after which it spent a further nine years on the European continent. Now bottled at a powerful 55.9% ABV and an ester content of 197 g/hlpa, it unfolds its full potential without inhibition.
