Inchgower 27 Years Diageo Special Release 2018
This 27-year-old Inchgower is considered the only true surprise of the 2018 Special Releases. It's a complex single malt from a historic, albeit lesser-known, distillery that has superbly preserved its original character. As the first Inchgower ever to be included in the Special Releases, it was bottled at natural cask strength.
Tasting notes
- Color: Solid gold.
- Aroma & Taste: Despite its 27 years of age, this whisky is surprisingly lively. It is nutty and spicy. The initial taste is smooth, sweet, and clean, but then develops into a drier profile with a distinct maritime character.
- Exit: Long-lasting.
