The Ardnahoe Distillery on Islay is known for its single cask bottlings. Hunter Laing, a family business, is presenting the seventh and final edition of the popular Kinship collection at this year's Fèis Ìle 2023. Hunter Laing's Master Blender and Tasting Panel test dozens of casks from the company's warehouses and select just a few casks each month, who have reached their peak of maturity. The Kinship series is characterized by its age and rarity, it is particularly old and rare Islay & Island single malts. The term 'kinship' celebrates Ardnahoe's proximity to the other distilleries on Islay. The journey begins with an 18-year-old Bruichladdich and ends with a 33-year-old Bunnahabhain .

Mineral and medicinal notes are evident on the nose, along with lemon zest, fresh linen and a nice creaminess. The taste is exceptionally smooth and velvety, with an oily note of pepper, crushed sea shells and grapefruit. The finish has a lingering saltiness and a faint hint of peat smoke.

Rich and spicy on the nose with pepper, toffee and preserved red fruits. Raspberry, caramel apples and nutmeg along with plenty of bubbly French oak on the palate result in a long, lingering, drying and spicy finish that leaves you wanting more.

Subtle, soft, fruity and elegant on the nose. Lemon and lime juice, sea breeze, wet stones and a hint of menthol. Velvety on the palate, fruit once again takes center stage, with pineapple, cherry and more lemon/lime leading into a coastal and mineral finish. A beautiful tribute to this gentle giant from Islay!

The most delicate peat smoke, caramel, preserved fruit, waxed jacket and fishing nets on the nose. The coastal influence is evident on the palate, with a freshly painted cutter, seaweed and fresh oysters. Long-lasting, leathery and salty finish.

Clear and chalky on the nose with notes of cooked pears and heather honey. Very sweet on the palate with more honey, tangerine, lemon and passion fruit leading to a long lingering finish with hints of white pepper. A beautiful complexity from this gem of Orkney.

Earth tones, brine, olives and herbal essences characterize the scent, combined with lemon zest and honey. Tangerine, honeysuckle and pear syrup unfold on the palate before being overwhelmed by a delicious, intense leather character that extends into the long, satisfying finish.
