It has been triple matured and combines the flavours of first-fill bourbon casks, Islay quarter casks and new American oak casks. The name Embra is an abbreviation for Edinburgh, and the whisky embodies the idea that the Scottish capital is the perfect starting point for a journey into the world of whisky.
Holyrood Embra's unique maturation allows it to subtly capture the classic smoky whisky flavours and texture without being overpowering. Even for experienced smoked whisky drinkers, Embra offers everything you would expect from a great, slightly smoky whisky.
