Highland Park 17 years The Dark
The Dark and The Light are concepts that exist in opposition but together create a perfect balance and inspired the limited editions of the same name. The Dark 17 Year Old is a whiskey to ponder; In it we celebrate autumn and winter in Orkney - a time to escape the wild weather outside and meet up with friends and family and spend long nights of chat and laughter by the fire.
The Dark is a rich and powerful single malt whisky, matured exclusively in sherried oak casks and presented in an embossed black glass bottle. The serpent kite design is inspired by the great Norse sagas and includes both the high sun of the summer solstice and the low sun of the winter solstice, while the runic script reflects the ancient carvings of our Viking ancestors here in Orkney.
