High West American Prairie Bourbon is named for the American Prairie Reserve, a group working to create the largest game reserve in the lower 48 states.
The Prairie Bourbon consists of two parts: first straight bourbon (75% corn, 21% rye, 4% barley malt from the MGP Distillery - "Craft Whiskey from Indiana) and second straight bourbon (84% corn, 8% rye, 8% barley malt). from non-treaty sources) and is aged for 3 to 13 years in fresh American oak casks.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Light caramel and sweet vanilla.
Palate: Rich and earthy on the palate with well balanced flavors of sweetcorn, honey nougat and cornbread cookies.
