High Coast Mountain PX Casks Batch #14
High Coast Berg from Sweden combines the art of maturation in two special cask types: First, it matured in first-fill bourbon barrels before being finished in select first-fill Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. The name "Berg" is a tribute to the striking Nordingrå granite that characterizes the dramatic landscape of the High Coast. Batch 14 was bottled at 50% ABV in 6,100 bottles and is now finally available again in the classic 0.7-liter size.
Thanks to sherry cask maturation, the whisky acquires a deeper, darker hue, along with aromas reminiscent of dried fruits and a spicy sweetness. It is neither chill-filtered nor color-treated, which emphasizes its natural purity and authenticity.
