Glentaucher's 10 years of SMOS
The 10-year-old Glentauchers from the series "The Single Malts of Scotland" from the independent bottler Elixir Distillers is definitely worth recommending. Distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2022, this whisky was matured in a special cask #110000389. The cask had an original capacity of 211 bottles, which makes it a limited and therefore all the more valuable drop.
The cask strength of 59.4% gives the Glentauchers its full complexity and an intense aroma. The flavor notes are characterized by a sweet maltiness accompanied by a light spiciness that gives the whisky an interesting depth. The taste is accompanied by sweet, fruity notes that blend harmoniously with the spicy aroma, ending in a long, intense finish.
