The Glenmorangie Calvados Cask Finish is the latest highlight from the Glenmorangie distillery's Barrel Select series. This exclusive whisky is the first to be stored in French Calvados barrels. This special storage allows the whisky to develop unique fruity and floral aromas that were previously unknown.
In search of new flavours, the renowned Director of Whisky Creation Dr Bill Lumsden decided to age a whisky that had already been aged for over 10 years in American white oak bourbon casks in the exquisite Calvados casks. These casks had previously housed Calvados du Pays d'Auge from Normandy for 20 years.
The result is a 12-year-old whisky that is an unforgettable experience with its aromas of baked apples and pears, delicately combined with hints of jasmine, daffodils and vanilla. The Glenmorangie Calvados Cask Finish is a smooth and seductive whisky that will enchant every connoisseur.
