Glenlossie 2007/2025 18 Years SMoS
This single malt from Speyside embodies the pure essence of Scottish distilling. The Glenlossie distillery has been producing whiskies for decades, primarily used in blends—making them a rarity as standalone single malts.
This whisky matured for eighteen years in a first-fill bourbon barrel, developing its characteristic profile. The fresh American oak barrel #773 imparted bright, vanilla notes and a silky texture to the distillate. The maturation period from February 2007 to April 2025 created a whisky with the region's typical balance of fruitiness and spicy sweetness.
With a potent 55% ABV, this whisky was bottled unfiltered and without additives. This natural approach preserves all the flavor combinations and the creamy mouthfeel created by bourbon aging. The light, golden color comes exclusively from the interaction with the American oak.
Elixir Distillers produced only 248 bottles of this limited edition from the "Single Malts of Scotland" series.
