Der Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch #14 ist ein Single Malt Whisky von Glengyle aus Campbeltown in Schottland.

 

Einordnung

Honigwabe und Vollkorntoast treffen in der Nase auf gegrillte Meeresfrüchte und Räucherspeck.

Beschreibung

Batch 14 der Kilkerran Heavily Peated Reihe zeigt die rauchige Seite der Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown. Der auf rund 45 ppm getorfte Single Malt wurde aus 90 % Bourbon- und 10 % Sherryfässern zusammengestellt und mit 58,3 % Vol. in Fassstärke abgefüllt. Auf Farbstoff und Kühlfiltration wurde verzichtet. Honigwabe und Vollkorntoast treffen in der Nase auf gegrillte Meeresfrüchte und Räucherspeck. Am Gaumen verbinden sich kräftiger Rauch, Zitronen-Shortbread, Schinken und Melone. Der ausgewogene Abgang bringt Torfrauch, Zitronenzeste, Zuckerguss und ein süßes, buttriges Mundgefühl zusammen.
