Glengoyne Cask Strength Batch 009
Bottled on the strength it pulls from the cask, this delicious amber whiskey is non-chill filtered, uncomplicated and untamed; the closest you can get is to opening the keg yourself.
The nose features baked lemon, rich sticky toffee pudding, malt cookies, plum, hazelnut and a distinctive hint of zesty apple. To finish, expect a weighty whiskey of rich vanilla and fresh fruit that evolves into poached pears with cinnamon spice and a drizzle of honey. The finish is long and rewarding, with Medjool dates, apricot, toffee and honey.
Batch #009 is made up of one-third first fill Oloroso sherry, two-thirds refill casks and a few bourbon casks.
