This original Glenfarclas bottling for Whisky Live Germany celebrates the 50th anniversary of Kirsch Import. This single malt from the Scottish Speyside was distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2026. It was matured in a first-fill sherry butt with cask number 5191. The single cask yielded a total of 643 bottles.
At 64.4% ABV in cask strength, the whisky has a distinct, powerful profile. It has been neither chill-filtered nor artificially colored and displays a mahogany hue in the glass. Smoky notes are not part of its character.
Fruit, malt, and spicy oak
- Nose: Distinct sherry aromas combine with dried fruits and sweet malt notes.
- Palate: Dark berries, toasted oak, and caramel define the flavor.
- Finish: Long-lasting with the sweetness of Demerara sugar and spicy wood notes.
The Glenfarclas can be enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water to gently dilute its robust cask strength.
