The Glenfarclas 1997 Cask Strength Premium Edition is a powerful single malt whisky from Scotland's Speyside region, featuring a cask strength of 55.5% ABV and maturation in Oloroso sherry casks. Distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2009, this whisky matured for 11 years and was released in a limited edition of 9,000 bottles.
The nose unfolds with an intense bouquet of sherry, sweet fruits, caramel, honey, lime, dark chocolate, orange, coffee, spices, oak, nuts, vanilla, and citrus notes. On the palate, the whisky presents itself sweetly with dominant notes of sherry, honey, spices, fruits, chili, alcohol, oil, caramel, peat smoke, oak, malt, nuts, chocolate, and tropical fruits. The finish is long-lasting with sweet, fruity, sherry-accented notes, chocolate, oak, spices, and caramel.
