Glenfarclas 105 Cask Strength
The Glenfarclas 105 is a whiskey that goes back to a unique method. Gunpowder was used to determine the alcohol content of whiskey by calculating its explosive strength. Today this whiskey is matured exclusively in sherry casks and bottled at a powerful 60% ABV. The name comes from the ancient measure of alcohol content and represents an intense and rich taste.
Tasting Notes:
The nose of the noble drop is filled with an enticing composition of oak, ripe apples and crunchy pears. The taste is dry and energetic, with a quick onset of spiciness enhanced with hints of oak and sherry fruit. In the finish, the whiskey convinces with an amazingly smooth texture, which leaves a pleasant, lasting feeling of spices and still has a pleasantly round taste.
