Sherry Cask Maturation from Speyside
This ten-year-old Glenallachie is part of The Sinteis Series. The Scottish single malt was distilled in 2015 and bottled in 2026. Its maturation in PX and Oloroso sherry casks combines with an aroma spectrum of dark fruits, sweetness, and spices.
Aromas and Taste
- Nose: Fruit soaked in brandy and butterscotch accompany the scent of freshly baked pastries. Added to this are cocoa, molasses, as well as cinnamon and candied ginger.
- Palate: Plum syrup and baked oranges provide fruity accents. Candied hazelnuts, vanilla, and mocha complement the profile, followed by Manuka honey and fig jam.
- Finish: Lingering sweetness with spicy notes.
Bottled at Cask Strength
At 58.5% ABV, this non-peated whisky is bottled at cask strength. It is non-chill filtered and contains no added coloring.
