One of 12 fine malts chosen to portray the Thanes in Shakespeare's The Tragedy of Macbeth. This bottling from four first fill bourbon casks is a fantastic example of the rich, heavy Glen Garioch of the 1990s. More than three decades in American oak have created a concentrated and full-bodied dram with pleasant notes of panettone, candied zest and banana.
The whiskeys for this series were selected by Elixir Distillers based on character profiles created by spirits writer Dave Broom. Each bottling features artwork by famed illustrator Sir Quentin Blake.
