Glasgow 1770 Triple Distilled:
With the soft Glasgow 1770 Triple Distilled - Smooth & Vibrant, Liam Hughes, Mike Hayward and Ian McDougall continue a forgotten distilling tradition in Glasgow: triple distillation. The resulting "New Make" is particularly fruity with light notes. It matures in a combination of bourbon casks and virgin oak casks, which are married before bottling.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Sweet vanilla and white chocolate lead to fresh summer fruits such as aromatic apples, pears and peaches.
Palate: Well balanced and smooth, with vibrant vanilla, smooth caramel and double cream evolving into succulent fruit trees and berries, followed by delicate floral notes and sweet almonds.
Finish: Long and lingering, with notes of rich honey, aniseed and black pepper and hints of warming woody spice
