One of the most striking features of Fortaleza Tequila Anejo is its aroma, bursting with notes of caramel, vanilla, butterscotch and cooked agave. The nose is so complex that some even claim to detect hints of pineapple, peach, orange blossom, nutmeg and raisins, enhancing the already rich experience.
When tasting, the full experience of cooked agave is conveyed with a thick and oily texture that leaves a pleasant sensation in the mouth. The flavor profile includes butterscotch, caramel, toffee, citrus and hazelnut, all perfectly balanced to create a unique and unparalleled taste.
Fortaleza Tequila Anejo is made from 100% agave from the Tequila Valley and is cooked in traditional stone/brick ovens. The crushing method also involves 100% stone crushing, which adds to the authenticity of the spirit. The double distillation process is done in copper stills and ensures that the tequila retains its unique flavor profile.
