The Don Julio 70 Cristalino Añejo is an incomparable product and a real masterpiece in the world of tequila. It was created by founder Don Julio González to celebrate his 70-year career as a tequila producer and to revolutionize the tequila category. What makes this tequila so unique is its clarity. In fact, it's the world's first clear añejo, combining the rich complexity of a traditional añejo with the clean flavor of a blanco.
The production of this tequila takes place in several steps and requires a lot of skill and experience. First, the agave must is extracted from the mature agave plants and double distilled to preserve its rich flavors and textures. It is then aged in white toasted American oak barrels for 18 months to give it its characteristic flavor and colour.
But that's not all: to ensure that the Don Julio 70 Cristalino Añejo offers an unforgettable experience for the palate, it is then filtered with carbon and cleaned of all impurities. This preserves the clear and sharp taste of the agave must and gives this tequila its unmistakable character.
