The Craigellachie 14 Year Old 2000/2014 Old Malt Cask is a limited-edition single cask bottling from the renowned Speyside distillery Craigellachie, bottled by Hunter Laing & Co. as part of their Old Malt Cask series. Distilled in February 2000 and bottled in October 2014, this single malt matured for 14 years in a single sherry butt with cask number 10892. It was bottled at natural cask strength at 50% ABV, without chill filtration, and without the addition of coloring, ensuring a pure tasting experience.
On the nose, the whisky unfolds sweet aromas of vanilla, sultanas, raisins, and butterscotch, reminiscent of festive desserts. On the palate, it presents itself soft and sweet with notes of Christmas pudding and custard, accompanied by a pleasant spiciness. The finish is long and dry, carried by sweet sherry wood notes.
