Cotswolds: A name that is synonymous with unspoilt nature, sleepy cottages - and first-class single malt whiskey. The Cotswolds Distillery has been the region's first full-scale distillery since 2014. In the midst of a postcard idyll, it produces a particularly soft, full-bodied and fruity distillate. The distillery is now expressing its character for the first time through a whiskey matured exclusively in bourbon casks.
The Cotswolds Bourbon Cask Single Malt unfolds in premium first-fill casks made from American white oak. Fresh from Kentucky, the casks come to the Cotswolds undamped and therefore still damp, the staves soaked with wonderful Bourbon whiskey. After patient maturation, they give the English single malt delicious notes of vanilla, caramelized figs and honey, which whiskey purists enjoy at a cask strength of 59.1% vol. to be able to enjoy.
Limited to 2,500 pieces.
Nose: Rich custard with hints of malt.
Palate: Raisins and caramelized figs, delicate vanilla.
Finish: Subtle earthy with a hint of honey.
