The Chateau Ste. Michelle Eroica XLC Dry Riesling 2018 is an outstanding example of the successful combination of traditional German winemaking with American innovation. This exquisite white wine comes from the sun-drenched vineyards of the Columbia Valley in Washington State and is the result of a unique partnership between the renowned German winemaker Dr. Ernst Loosen and the renowned winery Chateau Ste. Michelle.

The 22-month storage on the fine lees is a central feature of this wine and contributes significantly to its fascinating complexity and velvety texture. This extended storage on the lees allows for a harmonious development of the aromas, which in the bouquet seductively recall fresh limes, juicy mandarins and crisp green Apples. The first scent reveals a complex play of aromas that stimulates the senses.

On the palate, the Eroica XLC unfolds a juicy, voluminous presence, accompanied by a perfectly balanced acidity and a pronounced minerality. These characteristics give the wine a lively freshness that makes it the ideal accompaniment to both fine food and social occasions. The smooth mouthfeel that results from the extra-long storage on the fine yeast is exceptional for a Riesling and raises this wine to a high level of quality.

The sophisticated vinification and the interplay of the different terroirs in the Columbia Valley make the Eroica XLC a wine that is characterized by complex taste experiences.
