This Caol Ila from 2016 is an invitation to discover the harmonious combination of rugged coastal mist and Mediterranean fruit intensity in a particularly unadulterated form. The symbiosis of Islay smoke and Andalusian maturity Distilled in 2016, this single malt matured for over a decade under the care of the renowned independent bottler Signatory Vintage in Pitlochry.
Aroma
A interplay of maritime peat and dark fruit The honey-colored liquid already reveals an impressive presence in the glass. On the nose, the typical, robust peat smoke elegantly combines with the rich aromas of raisins, figs, and a hint of dark chocolate. On the palate, a dense structure of salted caramel and spicy oak emerges, accompanied by a subtle marzipan note, before the long-lasting finish concludes with a delicate salinity and sherry sweetness.
