The Bunnahabhain Abhainn Araig Feis Ile 2022 is an exclusive special edition created especially for the famous Islay festival Feis Ile 2022. This exceptional bottling combines the gentle elegance of Bunnahabhain with the intense aromas of a Bourbon and PX Sherry Octave finish and promises a unique taste experience.
The name "Abhainn Araig" means "fast-flowing river" in Scottish Gaelic and reflects the dynamic, complex nature of this whisky. Maturation in bourbon casks gives it a pleasant sweetness with notes of vanilla and honey, while the finish in Pedro Ximénez (PX) Sherry Octave casks brings out a deep fruitiness with aromas of raisins, dates, dark chocolate and caramel. The nose unfolds a warm blend of dried fruit, nutty notes and spicy oak, complemented by a hint of maritime freshness. On the palate, this whisky presents itself with a creamy texture, a perfectly balanced sweetness and fine spicy nuances. The finish is long, intense and warming, with hints of dark berries, cocoa and a light salty note.
