Bunnahabhain 30 years
The 30 year old Bunnahabhain whiskey is carefully matured in ex-sherry casks under the watchful eye of the distillery manager. It is only when he is fully mature that he is released from his coastal cocoon and his once hidden treasures are revealed and worshiped. Expect notes of strawberry and cream that gradually evolve into nutty-sweet muesli flavors and rich toffee before ending with hints of salted caramel and light spice.
Tasting Notes:
A tantalizing scent of butterscotch, beeswax and sweet sherry beguiles the nose. Strawberries and cream dominate on the palate, gradually morphing into nutty honey muesli and rich toffee flavor. A smooth aftertaste of stewed berries and ginger completes the experience, accompanied by a lingering and varied combination of spicy oak and salted caramel.
