Twelve years of maturation with a Madeira influence

This unpeated single malt comes from the Bunnahabhain distillery in the north of the Scottish island of Islay. Of its twelve-year maturation period, the final five years were spent in first-fill Madeira barriques. The wine casks shape the interplay of fruit, nutty accents, and maritime notes.

Aromas and taste

  • Color: Warm amber hue.
  • Nose: Ripe red berries and walnut oil, accompanied by a subtle maritime impression.
  • Palate: Full-bodied with fruity Madeira sweetness and a fine salty note.

Non-peated Islay malt

With its non-peated profile, this Bunnahabhain highlights fruity and maritime facets. It is bottled at 46.1% ABV without coloring and without chill filtration.

The independent bottler Thompson Bros is responsible for this release.
