Bunnahabhain 12 Year Cask Strength
For this particular release, their blending team carefully selects casks based on type and profile. Matured primarily in first and second fill Oloroso sherry casks with a small percentage of bourbon casks to balance the flavors, this whiskey offers a 'behind the scenes' look at their spirit before it goes to master blender Julieann Fernandez to make it to work its magic and create an iconic 12 year old Bunnahabhain Cask Strength Whisky.
Tasting Notes:
Opening notes of creamy milk chocolate, red berries and sweet dried fruit are balanced with classic Oloroso spiciness and hints of cloves. Roasted nuts, salted caramel and chocolate-covered raisins are intertwined with crunchy apple, syrupy pears and a sprinkling of cinnamon.
