Botucal Exclusive Reserve
The Botucal Reserva Exclusiva rum is undoubtedly a premium rum that comes from Venezuela. Its popularity is due to the high quality it offers and the fact that it is one of the most famous rums in Germany and the world. Although it is sold in Germany as Ron Botucal, it is known worldwide as Ron Diplomatico, due to a legal dispute that prevented its original name from being used.
This rum is a blend of 80% heavy distillates and 20% light batches. The blend is made from molasses extracted from sugar cane honey. It is aged for up to 12 years in oak barrels and in ex-bourbon barrels, which gives it a unique flavor. Its medium to full body is dominated by a great finish characterized by sweet notes.
The nose of the Ron Botucal Reserva Exclusiva is complex and expressive. It is characterized by aromas of rum raisins, cocoa, cinnamon and cloves. On the palate, notes of chocolate sauce and caramel meet tropical fruits, making it a unique experience.
