Borders First Release with eight years of maturation

The Borders 8 Years Old First Release comes from Hawick in the Scottish Lowlands. First-fill bourbon barrels were used for this single malt. The first release is limited to 10,000 bottles worldwide and is bottled at 46.0% ABV.

Fruit, sweetness and spicy accents

The nose combines sultanas with honey and caramel. On the palate, ripe berries meet a slight ginger spice; the mouthfeel is soft and full-bodied. A spicy oak note accompanies the long finish.

  • Color: Amber, no added coloring
  • Filtration: non-chill filtered

For tasting, the whisky is recommended neat or with a few drops of water.
