Benromach 2012/2022

The Benromach Cask Strength Batch 3 2012/2022 is a single malt whiskey from Speyside, Scotland. It matured first in sherry casks and then bourbon casks for almost 10 years and was then bottled at an ABV of 59.6%. The taste of this very special whiskey is really unmistakable.

On the nose, the Benromach Batch 3 is reminiscent of orange peel, dark chocolate, vanilla and some cinnamon. The taste is composed of a hint of orange marmalade, red fruits, a light cocoa scent and a hint of toasted oak, combined with candied ginger. In the finish, the single malt whiskey tastes a bit like cooked apple and dried fruit. The Benromach ends with a slightly smoky aftertaste.
