Ben Nevis 1975/2014 38 Years Single Cask Whisky
We are pleased to be able to present our highlight of the year to you. An incredible gem distilled on December 22, 1975 . A single cask, cask strength whiskey as an original bottling exclusively for Kirsch Import. The barrel 914 and the sister barrel 941 were bottled. Even after 38 years, it still has a remarkable strength of 51% alcohol. An old Ben Nevis from the seventies as it should be. A perfect whiskey with extreme collector's value from the famous distillery in the Scottish Highlands . We suspect that this will be the only way to get an original Ben Nevis bottling from the 1970s at triple digits.
Tasting Notes:
Aroma: Aromas of dried tropical fruits such as mango and apricot, orange marmalade, chocolate and peanut brittle.
Taste: Toffee, cinnamon, raisins, orange peel, pepper and some wood spices
Information about the distillery
T he foot of majestic Ben Nevis in Scotland, this iconic distillery stands as a testament to tradition, craftsmanship and the pursuit of perfection. A Ben Nevis from the 1970s has become extremely rare as the distillery has grown in popularity enormously in recent years.
With a rich history, Ben Nevis Distillery can trace its roots back to 1825 when it was founded by 'Long John' McDonald. Located in the quaint town of Fort William, the distillery is named for the towering Ben Nevis that watches over its grounds. This majestic setting not only adds to the distillery's appeal, but also influences the unique flavor profiles of their whiskeys, as the mountain's pristine water source plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process.
