Balvenie Single Barrel 12 Years
The Balvenie Single Barrel First Fill is a 12 year matured single malt whiskey that was matured in a first fill ex-bourbon cask. Almost all Scotch whiskeys are matured in casks previously used by bourbon distilleries. When they come to Scotland and are used there for the first time, this is called a 'first fill'.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Honey notes overlaid with sweet fruits and subtle spices.
Palate: Rich and complex with deep vanilla oakiness.
Finish: Persistent and sweet.
