Ardnamurchan Heritage Barley Release
The Ardnamurchan distillery in the Scottish Highlands presents its Heritage Barley Whisky in 2025. This whisky is distilled from the traditional Golden Promise barley variety, once a standard in whisky production but now largely replaced by higher-yielding varieties. Golden Promise is known for its intense aroma, imparting fruity, creamy, sweet, and complex notes to the whisky.
Combined with maturation in bourbon barrels and a robust alcohol content of 59.2% ABV, the Heritage Barley offers an intense and multifaceted taste experience. The whisky also impresses with its natural color, is non-chill filtered, and is limited to 10,290 bottles worldwide.
