Intensely smoky malts were selected for The Witches series from the Macbeth Collection Act One. The first is this 19 year old Ardbeg aged in PX sherry casks.
The Macbeth range is a collaboration between Scottish designer Lexi Livingstone Burgess and Elixir Distillers from England. Artist Sir Quentin Blake's illustrations feature a different character from Shakespeare's tragedy on each bottle. There will be a total of 42 different special bottlings of this series, which will appear in three annual acts until 2025. The tasting notes were written in rhyme by spirits expert and author Dave Broom.
