Ardbeg 17 Years Committee Exclusive
Released over 25 years ago, in 1997, the 17 Years Old was one of the first bottlings to leave the distillery after its reopening. Unusually delicate, yet unmistakably Ardbeg , this whisky found a special place in the hearts of the Committee and set an exceptional standard for our future.
Discontinued in 2004, Ardbeg fans thought that would be the last time they'd see it. But while time quietly passed, its return had been in the works for years. Dr. Bill Lumsden meticulously crafted this reissue to match the original, recreating the flavor profile note for note and choosing to bottle it at 40% ABV – just like the original.
