Six years in a Port Pipe
This smoky single malt comes from the Amrut Distillery in Bangalore, India. Distilled from peated barley in February 2020, it matured until August 2026 in a 1st fill port pipe with cask number 8795. The six-year maturation process combines the peat smoke with distinct fruit and spice notes. The whiskey displays a deep mahogany hue in the glass.
This single cask yielded 303 bottles. The whisky was bottled at a cask strength of 58.2% ABV, without chill filtration and without artificial coloring. Each bottle contains 0.7 liters.
Smoke, dark fruits, and cocoa
- Nose: Ashy smoke meets the sweetness of ripe plums and raisins.
- Palate: Full-bodied with dark chocolate and licorice. Pepper and clove add spicy notes to the profile.
- Finish: Long-lasting, with dry smoke as well as hints of cocoa and warm wood.
This bottling is produced by the independent bottler Best Dram.
